Rate Limits
Understand the rate limits applied to MeetRox API requests.
Rate Limits
The MeetRox API enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage and platform stability.
Limits
| Endpoint | Limit | Window |
|---|---|---|
| All endpoints | 100 requests | Per minute, per API key |
POST /v1/calls/import | 10 requests | Per hour, per workspace |
Handling Rate Limit Errors
When a rate limit is exceeded, the API returns 429 Too Many Requests:
{
"error": "too_many_requests"
}Implement exponential backoff when retrying after a 429. Wait at least 60 seconds before retrying requests that hit the general rate limit, and at least 1 hour for the import endpoint.
Best Practices
- Batch reads wisely — use the
firstpagination parameter (up to 100) to retrieve more records per request. - Cache responses — avoid polling the API repeatedly for data that doesn't change frequently.
- Use webhooks when available — for real-time updates, prefer event-driven integrations over polling.
